I've just installed Linux Mint, a variant of Linux based on Ubuntu on my Dell XPS M1330 notebook. Linux Mint looks great. The developer of this distro is right... it looks quite elegant. I'm keeping Vista (piece of crap) as my backup since that's what the notebook came with when I got it last year. I thought about installing Windows XP as the main OS but decided why not try Linux after a hiatus and see what happens.
One of the first thing I noticed was that the Firefox browser is horrendous under Linux. It's really buggy and seems to crash a lot. So I opted for the Opera browser and as of now it seems to be working very. I like it a lot better so far. I'll keep everyone posted on my thoughts on how Linux Mint works as my main OS for this notebook.
